I’m super excited to launch a new project I’ve been working on: I call it Friday Faves. Every few Fridays, I will be sharing some of my favorite brands with you all. These range from beauty products, snacks, apps, etc. that I love and think you would too. So without further ado, I announce my first ever Friday Fave: WholeMe.
WholeMe is a snack company whose goal is to provide healthy snacks without artificial sweeteners, preservatives, or grains. Paleo + gluten free peeps rejoice! They believe in the importance of healthy fats (think: nuts, seeds, + coconut oil) and developing snacks that are both nutrient-dense and tasty.
But here’s the best part: the company was started by two women from Minnesota. I mean come on, what’s not to love about female entrepreneurship from my hometown? They started in 2013 out of frustration with other “healthy” snack companies and began creating snack bars. Now, they focus on making grain-free granola clusters, which are available in four different flavors: Almond Coconut, Lemon Berry Chia, Salted Peanut Chocolate, and Cinnamon Banana Chip.
Honestly, it’s hard to pick a favorite flavor. Have you ever had food that’s hard to believe it’s healthy? Yeah, that’s what WholeMe clusters are like. The Lemon Berry Chia flavor tastes like a lemon poppyseed muffin and the Salted Peanut Chocolate tastes like a chocolate peanut butter cup. Don’t believe me? Try for yourself. I promise you’ll agree.
Besides eating these clusters straight up (I’ve been known to stash a bag in my backpack for study snacking), I add them to Greek yogurt for breakfast in the morning (or as a super filling snack!) or to dairy-free ice cream for added chunkiness. (Need a good dairy-free ice cream? I’ve got you. Try this one.)
I absolutely love WholeMe because their company embodies a lot of the same values that I have. They believe in creating real food with real ingredients, making it easy to obtain, and tasty. I think it’s amazing that the company was started by two women that just wanted to see a change in healthy snack foods, and now their company has expanded to stores across the country.
